Only 4 games on the NBA slate tonight, but we’re seeing an exciting double-header from TNT. To start the night, the Dallas Mavericks will visit the New Orleans Pelicans with MVP prospect Luka Doncic in action. And then later that night there’s a clash between the Western Conference powerhouses, the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns.

Luka Doncic over 45.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115)
The New Orleans Pelicans could be missing a key pair of long defensemen tonight. Brandon Ingram has already been ruled out of the game while Herbert Jones is listed as day to day. Without those players on the pitch, potentially with Zion Williamson, Doncic could dominate. The Mavericks superstar had a total of 50 points, assists and rebounds in his season opener and followed that up with 49 in just 30 minutes against the Memphis Grizzlies. Jones would represent the toughest defender the Palicans could throw at him. His absence or even his embarrassment on injury should allow Doncic to dominate.
Jonas Valanciunas should play big minutes here, especially if Zion Williamson is unable to dress. His dominance on the glass should encourage the likes of Doncic to make a more focused effort to smash the glass, ensuring his rebound numbers stay high. With Valanciunas struggling to defend the pick and roll, the Slovenian should get some assist and 3-point opportunities when the Pelicans cross goes down in the paint. All in all, expect to see a very strong all-nighter from the MVP prospect.

Ivica Zubac over 21.5 points + rebounds (-115)
The Oklahoma City Thunder are the perfect opponent for the opposing team’s crosses. They currently have a real lack of size inside. This has led to only 2 NBA teams giving up more second chance points per game and rebounding so far this season. The one Clippers man who will likely benefit the most tonight is Ivica Zubac. The Croatian opened his season strong, recording a 14-point, 17-rebound effort against the Los Angeles Lakers. Tonight he should have the opportunity to bounce back and recreate solid numbers once again.
Opposing centers are currently averaging 15.6 rebounds per game against the Thunder. With the Clippers 4th in the league in opponent field goal percentage and the Thunder 6th in the league in pace, there should be plenty of rebounds up for grabs in this game. If there’s one opponent Zubac should be able to play well against, it’s this Thunder team. Support him to have a great night tonight.
